There are more than 15 wineries throughout nearby Southold Town, most of them offer daily tours and tastings, and scores of farm stands offering farm fresh vegetables, flowers, jams, and pies.

Drive west on Route 48 or Route 25 (Main Road) and you will be happy to find so many wineries and farm stands along the way. Don't have a car? There are local companies that offer winery transportation including Pristine Limousine Ltd., 631-871-1508. Please be aware that many of our local wineries charge a nominal tasting fee of between $2 and $5. Drive east on Route 48, toward Orient, and you'll find a number of additional farm stands.

old-fieldThe Old Field, on Route 25 between Greenport and Southold is a beautiful family-run vineyard on the water and the oldest same-family-owned winery/vineyard on Long Island, located just west of Greenport on Route 25 in Southold (59600 Main Road). Summer Tasting Barn hours are Thursday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm. 631-765-0004




But there’s more than tastings! Look for live music, art shows, writers, food festivals, and other celebrations in the vineyards.
