LEONID METEOR PARTY & STARGAZING (weather permitting)
The Leonid meteor shower is one of the strongest, with approx. 40 per hour at the peak (which will occur early in the morning on Nov. 18). The shower extends from Nov. 13 - 20th. Although our party is a day after the peak, we should still be able to observe quite a few Leonids streaking across the night sky. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and join us as we watch nature's wonderful sky show. Custer's telescopes will also be open for viewing other celestial objects. Suggested Donation: $5 Non-Members, $3 Children, free for Members. 7pm to midnight

GEMINID METEOR SHOWER PARTY & STARGAZING (weather permitting)
The meteors from this shower originate from asteroid 3200 Phaethon and seem to radiate from the constellation Gemini. The shower extends from Dec. 6-19 and peaks on the morning of Dec. 14th when as many as 60 per hour may appear. Although our party is several days after the peak, we should still be able to observe quite a few Geminids streaking across the night sky. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and join us as we watch nature's wonderful sky show. Custer's telescopes will also be open for viewing other celestial objects. Suggested Donation: $5 Non-Members, $3 Children, free for Members. 7pm to midnight
